Dad & Cade relaxing on the couch on dad's birthday
This weekend was a pretty busy weekend.Friday night Cade got to meet his cousin Madison Glodo for the first time. Maddy couldn't wait to see Cade and was so sweet and gentle with him. There aren't many 4 year olds I would let stick a pacifier in my childs mouth and hold it there, but she was a fantastic assistant! She knew just what to do. So that was a fun evening getting to visit with her and my cousin Josh. Later that evening it was bath time in the tub for the very first time. That went over well. Much better than any bath he's had. He didn't whine or cry one bit, but only looked at us like "what in the world are you putting me in?" I kind of thought the water would scare him or upset him, but considering the fact that he was that way for 9 months might explain why he took it so well. Then on Saturday, Cade and Dad watched some football and then I dropped Cade off to his first babysitter (other than Gramma Gaye) while I went to my friend Heather's baby shower. Cade spent the afternoon with my Aunt Debbie, Uncle Steve, and Maddy
. I am glad to say he survived it well, as I knew he would. My aunt has quite a bit of experience these days with 2 grandkids of her own. Anyway, they did great, and I guess I'll let them babysit again someday. Saturday night we had dinner and ice cream cake (dad's favorite) for his 26th birthday. Then on Sunday, dad's actual birthday, we went to breakfast with Grandpa and Great Grandpa Brooks. It was fun and good to see them both. Cade and his Great Grandpa share the same birthday. We took a picture of the four generations, but unfortunately I didn't have my camera with me. So hopefully I can get one later. We just took it easy the rest of the afternoon. Here are some pics I took over the weekend.
Watching football dressed in his Notre Dame gear. Uncle Matt would be so proud!

I like this picture, but can't figure out who he looks like. I'm leaning towards his dad. Any thoughts???
