Picture with Santa!

Here are a few pictures from Thanksgiving weekend that I have been wanting to post but never got around to doing.

Cade and Adyson had their picture taken with Santa. They did great-Cade slept through it and Adyson just didn't know what to think! We had a great time shopping and having lunch with Meg, Adyson, Grandma Pat and Grandma Gaye! It was quite an afternoon!
Here is Cade with his Godparents Aunt Jessica & Uncle Matt (my brother and sister-in-law). We asked them to be Cade's Godparents shortly after he was born and they accepted! Who wouldn't, right? :) Aunt Jessica joined the Catholic church earlier this year and we are so glad she did!! They are going to be great role models for our little Cade. We hope to get him baptized right after the first of the year.

Cade found a comfy spot on Uncle Matt to rest on.

Dinner with the Guthmans

A week or so ago we got together with the Guthmans. Here are a couple pics that I took on our adventure out to dinner at Hunan. It must have been family night because Avery and some other kids were having a shouting contest every once in a while. It was too cute. Cade didn't do so well, so Aunt Brooke had to give him a mother's touch and settle him down. She did great and is going to be such a great momma!

Friday Night at the Brooks'

Friday night we had my friends Courtney & Melissa and their husbands over for dinner and drinks. Although you will never see their husbands in any of these pictures, I promise they were there. It was a good time. We just chatted and played with Cade. He showed them all the cool new things he could do :) Not that it's much, but it's a big deal to us! Melissa took some pictures (well about 40 to tell the truth). So I thought I'd post a few of the best ones. Melissa is really good about taking pictures. I am sure not to miss a moment of Cade's life because she will have captured them all. She really spoils Courtney and me with her picture taking! Someday she is going to have kids of her own (besides her kitties) and will not be able to keep it up! Thanks for the great pics Mis!

Cade

Cade's Aunt Court got him this adorable little Christmas onesie.

A family photo

This picture was taken when I was about 40 weeks pregnant.

So we thought we'd get the same shot again with Cade actually here! My how things change in a little over a month- I have Cade, Court's hair is chopped off and Mis's hair is dark!

First smiles

Here are a few of Cade's first smiles caught on camera.

The best invention for moms yet!

Here is Cade taking a little ride in his baby carrier. This thing is great! I can walk around the house and get things done or just sit down at the computer and have both hands free! Today he fell asleep before I even had him strapped in! I love it and am so glad that my friends suggested it to me. It has really been a lifesaver-even if it is for a short time that he wants to be in it. So for all you new moms or moms-to-be...this is a must have!

Cade is 1 month old!

Cade is 1 month old already! That seems hard to believe. He is changing quite a bit and is so much fun to have around. I didn't realize how boring life was without him. We are so blessed to have him here and healthy. Before we know it, he'll be turning 1 YEAR old! Yikes! We had quite a weekend. We had Thanksgiving dinner at our place, shopped, got together with some friends, had Cade's picture taken with Santa, and last but not least, replaced Dad's bathroom floor because it was in BAD shape. Which has now lead us to the start of remodeling his bathroom. What better time of year to start a project like this, huh?! Grandpa Bryan, Grandpa Jay, and Uncle Matt all deserve a BIG THANK YOU for all of their hard work on the house during their holiday weekend.
Friday night, we got together with some friends and some brought their kids along. Here is a cute, but quite difficult, picture we took.

On Thanksgiving day, Cade had a special visit from his (3rd?) cousin Olivia. Olivia is 5 months old and was born on our wedding anniversary. Family get togethers should be even better with these two cuties!

It's a GIRL!

Congratulations to Ryan & Brooke Guthman for expecting a baby girl! They found out the exciting news on Tuesday, but had to keep it secret for a couple of days until they could tell all of their family. We are all so happy for them. Little Avery and Baby Guthman Girl #2 are going to have sooo much fun! How neat that they are going to grow up just like their mommas and live across the field from each other :) Baby Cade is thrilled to now have TWO Guthman girls to chase someday! Also, congrats to Eric & Marianne Shields on expecting a baby boy! We are so excited to add another boy to the pack.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Gavin & Cade

Last night we went over to Ryan & Kerri Sykes for dinner. It was a great time as we were totally entertained by their 18 month old, Gavin. He is a doll and such a happy little fella. He really seemed to enjoy our company :) It was amazing to see how well he adapted to new people. Here are a few pics I took.

Here, Gavin decides he's going to try on Matt's shoes.
And then try to walk in them.
