So the other night Cade took a little nap on his daddy's chest. After almost two hours we thought we'd better wake him up or he wouldn't be going to sleep that night. So I tried....and I tried....and I tried. I held him on his back in my lap and he stayed asleep. Then I tried the changing table and still he stayed asleep. Now, if any of you know Cade, you know he HATES sleeping on his back. So for him to not even flinch was beyond belief to me. He was sleeping so hard that I wondered at times if he was okay. Luckily, I could still hear him breathing, so that was a good sign. Here are some pics that I thought some of you might get a kick out of. Although it may not be interesting to many of you, I know it will be interesting to my cousin Sarah, whom I frantically called because I didn't know what to do!

This is what we wake up to every morning. It's the best thing ever! He usually just looks around his room until someone finally comes in to get him.

Washington D.C.
So we made it home from our big trip to Washington D.C. And yes, we are all still speaking. We have several good stories to tell, between my mother getting her, my sister-in-law and myself lost and on our way to Maryland, and my father getting locked out of our room and asked to leave the hotel after falling asleep on the couch in the lobby. We had a great time and needless to say, several good laughs. Cade was an absolute angel. He was probably the best one on the trip. He didn't complain, he didn't care where we ate, he didn't cost any money and best of all, he enabled us to cut a very very long line! We stayed in Georgetown where they had every shop imaginable, but unfortunately, Uncle Matt's itinerary did not have shopping included. But that's quite alright, because by the end of each day we were all exhausted and ready for bed. We ate at some great places; down at the riverfront where Ryan and I splurged on $35/plate crab cakes and at Mr. Smiths' where I enjoyed a much needed mango daiquiri. The weather was beautiful. The first day was extremely hot, been then it seemed to get cooler each day after that. By the time we left, I was getting the chills from the wind blowing. Here are a few (haha) pics from throughout the week!

3 years down...

On June 12th, Ryan and I will celebrate our 3 year anniversary. It has been a blast and I couldn't ask for a better partner in life. We have tons of laughs and can't wait to see what's in store for us the next 3 years. Thanks Ryan for always putting up with me and for entertaining me with your sillyness these past few years. But most of all, thank you for our precious son. It has been amazing watching you become a father. I love you both! Happy Anniversary!
