5 Year Anniversary Trip to LV Baby!

Okay, here's a quick post to update you on our trip to Vegas. I can't say much as my husband apparently thinks the two times a month I use the internet at my mom's is excessive. So to make a long and great story short, Matt, Meg, me and Ry went to celebrate our 5 yr. wedding anniversary. To sum it up, we ate dinner at a very nice restaurant where they serenaded us and I had a fabulous espresso martini, then you have various inside and outside shots of the many and extravagant hotels, a view of the strip from a bridge, then a night out to the Gavin Rossdale concert at the Hard Rock Hotel. Oh my was he beautiful. And that accent! Whew! Couldn't believe some of my co-workers didn't know who he was when I was bragging! Wow, that really shows their age ;) It definitely brought back high school memories! But it was awesome. Of course I was a little tipsy, which made it all the more exciting! And last but certainly not least, prego Mego and her little man (in her belly of course!). It was a good time and that's all I have time to say!

Cash Stats

Went to Cash's 4 month well check appointment on Thursday, which actually ended up being his 5 month. We were scheduled to have a late 4 month appointment due to the doctor being out of the office and then with the storm hitting So. IL, we were even more delayed. So I finally got around to taking him in. He is in the 98th percentile for height and 95th percentile for weight. BIG BOY! I think his older brother may have some competition someday! Everything else was great and we will be starting him on baby food soon!

These two had a good time. Olivia is about 3 months older than Cade. Actually, she was born on our anniversary, June 12th! Oh and we forgot to take Cade's Easter basket along with us that day. Lucky for him, his gramma Debbie had one for him- a PINK one!! Pretty sure he's gonna love you for that one someday gramma! ;)

Hangin' out with Grandpa Bryan

This is Cade and Cash with their Papa Bryan. I saw these as I was scanning thru pics on the computer and thought they were cute. Check out those chunky legs on Cash! My goodness! Cade has a good 'ole time with his grandpa. He brought them a bunch of little trucks to play with and Cade loves them! Thanks Papa!

My grandpa turned 92!

April 1st was my grandpa Youngman's 92nd birthday. He is sharp as can be and his great grandson just adores him. We ate at Lonestar and then came back to our house for dessert. My aunt and uncle (dad's sis) from Texas were in town too so that made it extra special for my grandpa. More pics of our week with them to come. But I just had to post this moment below that my dad captured with his camera. These two have a lot of fun together!

Here is a little start on what we're doing to improve Cade's big boy room. His bedding is an airplane theme although he loves ANYTHING with wheels. So it will have a touch of trains, tractors, and trucks too! Below are some pics of a little bit of creativity from me and my dad. The dark blue was suppose to actually come all the way up to the lightest blue stripe in the middle. You can sort of see the medium color of blue between the light stripe and the dark blue. We messed up when we taped off the room. It looked pretty cool though so we ended up leaving it. Too funny!

These are about the only decent shots we got of Cash's baptism at the church. But I do love this first one of him in his baptism dress that has been passed down several generations.

We asked my cousin Sarah and her husband Cody to be Cash's godparents. They are such a huge part of our lives and are going to be great role models for Cash.

Papa Jay's birthday weekend

March 14th was my dad's birthday. He turned the big 6-0! I think he had the best birthday yet with his dad, all of his boys, and not to mention the fabulous women in his life! We grilled out and had ice cream cake Saturday and then went bowling and out to eat later that evening. Hope you enjoyed it Papa Jay!

A weekend visit with The Youngmans

A couple of weekends ago we traveled up north to visit my brother and his wife Jessica. We mostly just hung out around the house and went shopping and to Chuck-E-Cheese's on Saturday. Cade had a blast playing ski ball and shooting some hoops! Why didn't we think of this sooner? :)

Make Room for Daddy

The other day my cousin Sarah came over to "214" and Cade wanted her to go play in his room. Since Cade has been sleeping in his toddler bed, we have all been trying to make a big deal about it to him so that he will continue to do a good job and stay in his bed all night. So Sarah pointed to his bed and said "is that your bed Cade?". Cade responded, "no, dat Owie's bed" (not sure where that came from other than that he loves to have anything of Owen's so maybe it makes him feel better to think it is Owen's bed he is sleeping in). Cade then pointed to a piled up blanket and pillow on the floor next to the bed and says, "dat daddy's bed." Daddy has had to camp out next to him during the transition but has since returned to his own bed only to find his 7 week old on HIS side of the bed. Poor dad! :)
