Super Bowl Sunday

Cade and I have been under the weather lately, but it didn't keep us from cheering the Bears on Sunday! Guess we didn't cheer hard enough since they didn't pull through. Oh well, at least they made it that far! We had a good time anyway and thought I'd post a pic of our family in their Chicago gear. I think we won the award for biggest fans! Although I didn't watch much of the game, just enough to know they were losing :( I wore the jersey for my husband.

Sweet Baby

Here is a sweet picture that I thought was neat because of the colorful quilt in the background. It really brings out his blue eyes.

Cade's Baptism

Cade was baptized this Sunday and did exceptionally well. He hardly even budged when Father Gary poured the water over his head. Cade's Godparents are my brother and sister-in-law, Matt and Jessica Youngman. They are so wonderful to him and we are so lucky to have them in his life. I know they will be loving, supportive, and guiding throughout his life. It was a very special day and one that I will never forget. The white gown Cade is wearing is the gown I wore when I was baptized, as did my brother, mom, Aunt Debbie, and cousins Josh and Sarah when they were baptized. I had debated on whether or not to have him wear this gown or a new one, but am so glad I went with the traditional one. He looked absolutely sweet in it and I love that it is being passed from generation to generation. Thanks to everyone who was able to help celebrate this special day. And a special thank you to Grammy Gaye for hosting the wonderful luncheon afterwards at her home. Especially after the week she's had! Another special thank you to Aunt Debbie and Uncle Steve for their help in preparing for it as well.
This moment brought tears to my eyes. It was so precious to see him being baptized as he gazed into our eyes.

Get well soon Grampa Jay!

Grampa Jay has not being feeling well lately. He was rushed to the hospital this past Tuesday and ended up having hernia surgery. The doctors couldn't believe he let it get as bad as it did. But that's dad for ya. He was dreading getting it fixed and having to lay in bed for days. Although he was under the impression it would have been weeks. But I think he will be up and moving soon. At least I hope so for my mom's sake! This week was crazy for her since she had to take care of dad, Cade, and Brasky all by herself for two days! We just hope Grampa is up and running (or at least up) before Cade's special day this Sunday! Cade just wants him to get well soon so they can play and sing songs. Love you Grampa!
Terri Hall took this picture of Cade while she was babysitting him the day my dad went to the hospital. Thanks Terri for all the great pics! Looks like he was a little angel for you!

Aunt Debbie & Uncle Steve

Aunt Debbie was quite disappointed that she didn't get her picture with Cade at Christmas. So we took one at church instead! It turned out pretty darn cute! Love you Aunt Debbie & Uncle Steve!

Happy 3 month birthday Cade!

Cade is three months old today! I can't believe it's already been three months! My how time flies when you're having fun! And we are definitely having fun. He is changing so much everyday. It is so neat to see him grow. Who ever thought grabbing a toy for the first time or making bubbles with your drool would be so neat. The littlest things make us so proud and remind us how lucky we are to witness this little life growing. Here are some pics I took last night while Cade was on his changing table. He has the best time laying there and just smiles, smiles, smiles the whole time. Of course when I have the camera in front of my face, he immediately stops smiling and just stares at it. Oh well, it doesn't keep me from taking a million pictures!
