Happy Birthday Cade!

Well, Courtney and Melissa both beat me to it on the posting of Cade's birthday. But Court cheated since she posted last night :) But anyhow here is a pic I took this morning of Dad and Cade getting ready to leave for the babysitter's.
Here he is exactly one year ago today. It is hard to believe he is 1 year old. I remember I never thought he would get here!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BUDDY! WE ARE SO PROUD OF YOU AND LOVE YOU SO MUCH!

The Pumpkin Patch

A little while back we took Avery, Caroline, and Cade to the pumpkin patch. They had a pretty fun time riding around in the wagon and just sort of stared at all the pumpkins not really knowing what to think. Here are a few pics I got of them.

A New Beginning

So this is just a shot where we will be building our future house on my grandpa's farm. I feel so honored and proud that we are able to build out there. It has been a part of my entire life and I am looking forward to the many more memories we will make out there. We are hoping to start building next spring, but I am not getting my hopes up because I know these things end up taking much longer than expected (when you're doing part of the work yourself I mean). We are very excited and can't wait for Cade to enjoy all the acreage that comes along with it. There is so much room to run and play. Stay tuned for pics throughout the process. We now have rock on the road so things are progressing!

SIU parade

Last weekend we hung out with Adyson and Megan while they were in town and went to the SIU Homecoming Parade. We had fun, but Cade cried when the bands came by and Adyson was more interested in the candy than the parade as most kids are. Then we headed to Italian Villiage later that night. We had a fun weekend visiting with them and of course Uncle Matt too!

Apple Festival 2007

This week was the Apple Festival. A bunch of us decided to decorate a float and have our kids dress up as little American icons. Our theme for the float was "Spirit in even the tiniest of hearts" since the Apple Fest theme was "Spirit of America". The kids did great despite the fact that a few of them got sunburned! And best of all, our float won 1st place in the Individual & Church division!

Starting the tradition- Adyson & Cade following their moms & grandmas around the festival. Although they are starting much earlier than Meg and I did!

Are these kids cute or what? Jett, Cade, Ellee, & Ethan Waiting for the parade to begin

Brooke & her little indian
If you look closely at this picture, you will notice our Statue of Liberty (Miss Adyson) is asleep! She slept through almost the entire thing! It was so cute!
Maria took this picture while we were waiting for the parade to begin. Thanks for the great picture Maria!
Max- what a cute cowboy!
Avery, Will, & Adyson during the kiddie parade
Sweet Caroline
Cade and Caroline - he kept giving her kisses without us even telling him to. It was too cute! And the fact that her daddy was sitting close by didn't scare him at all :)
