Fun in the field

I forgot I had snapped these pics of the boys when the weather had started getting nicer. Just two brothers having a little fun on their tractor!

The Longest Game In History...

...or so it felt. The Cardinals vs. Mets went into 20 innings on the day we had tickets to go. It was also "Kids run the bases" day (at the end of the game).......good thing we didn't talk it up much to Cade, otherwise we might have had one disappointed little fan. We had a good time though with Uncle Kody, Auntie Erin and even got to see Uncle Josh and Aunt Angie! It was actually chilly believe it or not and we could hardly believe all the girls in their short shorts and tank tops. Not this momma! I was ready for some hot chocolate! It was a fun day and no...we did not stay for the whole thing. We actually ended the night curled up in bed (all 3 of us) watching the rest of it. How crazy is that?! Cash stayed home with his gramma Debbie and had a pretty good day from what I hear.

As we were walking out Cade says "that was fun baseball games!" Despite the lack of action that it had, he still had a good time, which made it that more fun for us too. We're already hoping to get tickets next year on the same day so that Cash can join in on the fun too and they can actually, maybe, hopefully, quite possibly, run the bases on "kids run the bases day"! lol.

My Little Monster

Cade picked out this three-eyed monster towel for Christmas and he just loves it. It's a great bribing tool for when he doesn't want to get out of the bath. He loves putting on his little monster face. Who would have thought a bath towel could be so entertaining!

What a weekend...

This weekend turned out to be a BEAUTIFUL weekend. The weather was unbelievable and definitely something I could get used to! The boys had a ball playing outside for the first time in a long time!

Mom, quit taking my picture. Okay, just ONE more.

Cash couldn't stand daddy being on the four-wheeler without him! Cade preferred playing basketball.

Cash updates

Cash is learning to do new things all the time. Since he has mastered walking, he is now onto taking things off the counter, trying to get into the pantry, and talking. He definitely lets us know what is on his mind. He says mama, dada, ball, papa, no no, uh oh, bye bye and who knows what else that we can't quite make out yet.

Brotherly bonding

The boys love to play this electronic football game. Cade has played it for 5 hours at a time before, until we finally had to put it away. The best thing is, is that we don't actually have to plug it in and have all the noise. Daddy showed them how to play just by tapping their hands on it. A nice, QUIET football game- rare.
And just a little snapshot of my baby's face for a change! He is so on-the-go that it's impossible to get one these days!

Typical night in the Brooks household

Most of my days and evenings consist of this...

Cash really tries to get in on all the action!

Go Dawgs!

Below are a couple of pics we took at an SIU game we went to recently. We have been to several and Cade sits and really focuses on the entire game. I never dreamed he would be so well behaved at a basketball game and enjoy it so much. He will yell and shout with the best of 'em. No need to watch the game, he is entertaining enough! ;)
