Washington D.C.

So we made it home from our big trip to Washington D.C. And yes, we are all still speaking. We have several good stories to tell, between my mother getting her, my sister-in-law and myself lost and on our way to Maryland, and my father getting locked out of our room and asked to leave the hotel after falling asleep on the couch in the lobby. We had a great time and needless to say, several good laughs. Cade was an absolute angel. He was probably the best one on the trip. He didn't complain, he didn't care where we ate, he didn't cost any money and best of all, he enabled us to cut a very very long line! We stayed in Georgetown where they had every shop imaginable, but unfortunately, Uncle Matt's itinerary did not have shopping included. But that's quite alright, because by the end of each day we were all exhausted and ready for bed. We ate at some great places; down at the riverfront where Ryan and I splurged on $35/plate crab cakes and at Mr. Smiths' where I enjoyed a much needed mango daiquiri. The weather was beautiful. The first day was extremely hot, been then it seemed to get cooler each day after that. By the time we left, I was getting the chills from the wind blowing. Here are a few (haha) pics from throughout the week!

On our way to Congressman Costello's office

At Congressman Costello's office, who by the way, has an incredible view of the Capitol but it is sort of bright so you can't really see it.

Our final stop: Louisville Slugger-where Cade thoroughly enjoyed his new bat and threw an absolute temper tantrum when we tried to take it away. Look at his face in the last picture below. It is priceless! He looks so concerned that we're taking it away from him. Too funny!
