Evan

Hi everyone. I know many of you are keeping up with my friend Melissa's blog on the news about Evan. And if not, all I ask of you today is to please go to his website from her blog and read some of the journal entries and guestbook entries to get an idea of what their family is going through. The latest entry is from Melissa and Evan's aunt. They are asking for donations for the family so that Natalie, Evan's mom, can spend just a little more time with him in the hospital and not have to return to work right now. After reading the entry, I had two decisions to make- 1-log off my computer as normal and get ready for bed or 2- make a donation to the family so that Natalie can continue to be by her little boy's side. I can't even begin to imagine what she and her husband are going through. Nor can I imagine having to work during any of this. But I do know that if any of us were going through this, we would want to stay with our child so badly, just one more day, just one more week, just one more month. I know many of you don't know the family. But please, just take a minute and try to imagine what they are going through and times it by a thousand. And remember, a little goes a long way. Please keep Evan in your thoughts and prayers.

I almost did the same thing, posting about him that is.. and I did do the same thing you did about donating. I can NOT imagine what they are going through, but on top of that the worry of her having to go back to work. That's too much. I hope that many will donate and allow her to stay with him until he can come home with them. Very sweet of you though!

Love you,
megan

I agree, I also donated, as I cannot imagine what they are going through but hopefully they will get enough donations that they can stay with their little boy!

I am so glad you posted that about the donations for her to stay with her son. I also checked it out and it just made me cry. So I hope all of our donations and many more can help her to be with her baby!! I agree, I cannot even imagine what they are going through and for her to have to go back to work is just crazy. God bless them!! Brooke

THANK YOU TIMES A MILLION EVERYONE!! I came home on my lunch hour to see if there was an update on his site and I found this. You all made me cry. It's amazing how you don't even know Evan and you are so touched by him and his story. I promise if you ever get the chance to met him you will be so glad you gave. He is an amazing child and life without him would be very lonely. Thank you guys! You don't know what this means to me and especially Evan's family. -Love Melissa

Beth,
What a beautiful message you sent to us. Heidi and I have been posting on their COLA site and we have made donations. We continue to pray that God provides healing to Evan and strength for Sean and Natalie. It is more than any of us can really understand...but God does and He will be there for them. Let's keep up the prayers and the donations....and thank you for your entry. God bless them.

Beth,
What a beautiful journal entry you wrote. Heidi and I have been on their site and we have also donated to the family. It is so heartwarming to know that there are wonderful young people like you and your friends ( my daughter included) who feel such compassion and love for those who are in need.
God has such power and we just have to keep our prayers constant and our support as long as needed. God will always bless those who follow Him and remain steadfast in faith. As a Mommy, you know the heartache they are having, but God will sustain them with His love and power. You have a beautiful little boy! Love, Marcy Weber

Beth, I was so touched by the entry on your page that I immediately went to Evan's blog and left a comment! I thought I was just logging on to see new pictures of Cade and get an update on your family, but instead I found myself crying for a little boy I've never met! I'll be sending them a donation after work, thank you so much for bringing the attention to this family in need! Children are such a wonderful part of life and even though I don't have any of my own yet, I can't even begin to comprehend how hard this must be for Evan's family. I will pray for them and tell other people about your blog so hopefully they will donate as well! You or your mom can get in touch with me if there's anything else I can do to help! Love, Steph

I visited Melissa's blog and read about Evan's story. I can't imagine what that family is going through right now. No child should have to go through what that little boy has gone through, its so sad! Thank you for bringing this to our attention Beth, you are a very good friend. I went to Evan's site and made a donation! Hope it helps and hope Evan gets well soon!
Love,
Tonya
