On the move

Just wanted to let everyone know we sold our house! After a month or so of having it for sale by owner, we just couldn't handle the pressure anymore not knowing when or if we would sell it before the new one is built. So we listed it with a realtor one day, and sold it the next! It was quite a relief. We close on our house April 30th and as long as everything goes as planned, we will be moving to an apartment in Murphysboro for the time in between. Our new house is not expected to be done until probably late fall. In the mean time, we will be having our mail sent to my parent's address, 11 Louis Wides Dr, M'boro, in case anyone needs our address for something. Not much is new with the building progress other than the basement walls were poured today and will now have to sit for several days. Slowly but surely!

In other news, Cade will be getting tubes in his ears and his adenoids taken out on the first of May. He has had 4 ear infections in 6 months so it is time to do something to help this kid breath and hear. He saw an ENT recently and failed his hearing test, not terribly, but we were and weren't surprised to hear that result. On the one hand, we've never noticed him hard of hearing and on the other hand, things have got to be kind of muffled to him with all the fluid in his ears. So the ENT suggested he get tubes. And he is quite the mouth breather so the adenoids will be removed as well.

So, that's all for now. The weekend is almost here!

Congrats on selling the house! I know that must be a huge relief for you guys!

You will be so glad that you did the ear tube surgery. It take about 10 minutes and he will feel so much better! Hannah had the same problem with infections and we did tubes about 3 years ago and have had good luck. Unfortunately we waited too long to get the tubes done - or our pediatrician didn't recommend us soon enough - so now she has permanent hearing loss - but nothing we can't live with. We just scream louder than we already do now! ha.ha.

Good luck with all of that - you will not regret doing it at all!

I mean to to say that you are making a really smart move by doing it early!! We waited until she was about 3 to do it.

Yay for the Brooks Bunch! Can't wait to see the pictures of the poured basement.

Glad to hear that Caders is going to get some help. I'm sure it will make you all feel much better!

Cole's adenoid glands were extremely large and irratated from his acid reflux. He is on prevacid for the reflux and within 6 weeks his adenoids were back to normal. If they didn't shrink they were wanting to remove them when he got older. Like Cade, Cole was a mouth breather. He was pretty good at snoring too.

Congrats on selling your house. I am sure it feels so good to not have to worry about that anymore. :)

Poor baby! I have a feeling the surgery will be harder on mom and dad than it will be on him though! You will be glad that you had it done, he will feel so much better! We'll pray that he does well! I know he will!
