Kids Night Out

Friday night we took the kids to eat at El Bajio and then out for some bowling. My cousin Sarah and her husband, the Calverts, and the Elricks all came along with their kids. My cousins Maddy and Danielle and my brother and sister-in-law came along too to get in on the fun! It was a crazy night, but a lot of fun watching them all bowl.

The Doodlebops were a success!

On Saturday, Cade, his dad, and grampa Jay all went to see the Doodlebops. Grampa got suckered into going along since I was hosting a baby shower that same day. But they had a great time and really enjoyed seeing Cade watch the show. Although he didn't have quite the surprised reaction I was hoping for, they said he still had a pretty good time. Apparently, he just stared at them in amazement the entire first half wondering how the heck they got out of the television. The show was an hour or so long and they had a 30 minute intermission. Can you believe that? A 30 minute intermission? Dad and Grampa said the kids were going a little bit stir crazy. So Cade snacked a little, danced a little, and then was ready to go for the second half. Here are some pics of his big day! Thanks Dad and Grampa for taking our little guy! Chocolate cake?

Last week we went out to the property to see what had been progressing as far as our road. We had only completed 3/4 of the way last fall not knowing exactly how it was going to work once it reached the garage. So here are some pictures of Cade enjoying ours and some of Uncle Matt and Aunt Jess' property too! :)

You can see a little bit of what Cade might have thought was chocolate cake under his bottom lip. But it was in fact a big 'ole chunk of dirt! We took him out there thinking it's a huge open field, what could he possibly get into? Well, the answer is...he's a boy, he'll find something :)

New Toys

This is Cade breakin' it down to Fridge DJ. My aunt and uncle were kind enough to get this for him after he spent the week in Iowa admiring Owen's. It originally started out on our fridge, but now he just carries it with him from room to room so he can dance. He loves this thing!

And this is me looking a little tired last Saturday morning while taking a break from dancing to fridge DJ. I swear, we are up before the rest of the world I think. I guess it will be a long time before I get to sleep past 7:00 am again! And this is his new Elmo airplane from Uncle Matt and Aunt Jess. We stopped by their place on our way home from Iowa and they got this for him while we were out shopping. He has such a great time with it!

Evening out with the Dunnings

Last weekend we had an evening out with Jason and Courtney. We went out for pizza and then went over to their place to check out the status of the nursery. It's looking very cute! Anyhow, Jason and Courtney are both so good with Cade and seem so natural at the parent thing. They are going to be wonderful parents! Cade loved playing around with Jason and you can tell he is going to be a very interactive father. I can't wait for the big arrival, it's getting so close!

Happy Birthday Madison!

Madison Glodo turned 6 today! It's hard to believe our baby Maddy is 6 years old! We wish her a very happy birthday and can't wait to see her to celebrate. We love you Madison!

Doodlebops Live!

Next weekend Cade will be going to see the Doodlebops LIVE! Cade LOVES the Doodlebops and they are going to be in Evansville, IN on the 15th. I was told about it several weeks ago, but since I am hosting a baby shower for one of my closest friends, Courtney, I didn't even think twice about it. However, I told my husband they were coming and he decided he wanted to take him. I am so excited for Cade and I know he will just love it! They will have so much fun-especially since I will be doing girlie stuff all day anyway. Stay tuned for pics of the shower and the concert!

We're Back!

After what was suppose to be an eight hour trip to Iowa turning into a twenty-eight hour trip, we finally made it and spent a wonderful week with Cody, Sarah and the boys. We didn't leave the house but had tons of entertainment and excitement with the three boys. It seemed like it flew by especially since mom, Cade, and I had to stop just about 50 minutes away from Cody and Sarah's house last Monday because the roads were just too bad to travel -hence, the 28 hour trip. They had warned us of a blizzard, but unfortunately we took the chance thinking it wouldn't be THAT bad. Turned out-it WAS that bad. We spent Monday night in a hotel and finished the drive the next morning. Mom and I must have seen a hundred cars along the road in ditches or wrecked once we reached Iowa. We couldn't believe our eyes and were wondering what the heck we got ourselves into. It was pretty devestating at times. The best part about it was the fact that Cade was a trooper. I had hardly packed anything for him since we were going to Sarah's, who has all the baby gear, toys, etc. anyone could need. And after almost 12 hours in the car, he finally got a little frustrated, but we were luckily getting ready to exit. I think it took us like 3 hours just to go 10 miles or something. The whole thing was unbelieveable. But well worth it once I got to see little baby Cameron!

Sweet baby Cameron-he is still so tiny and was definitely the easiest to take care of out of the three. Although Sarah might beg to differ!
King Owen- this was a freebie out of Cade's Burger King meal and Owen just loved it. He kept saying "King Owen!" and "King Cade!"

Parker and Cade

Friday night we went over to the Diehl's home, cooked dinner and played with the boys. Cade did pretty well with Parker although he played a little rough at times. But they had a good time and Parker is getting to be quite the big boy!

Iced in

Cade and I were iced in all day today while daddy went to work. And since I haven't been quite so good at getting the camera out lately, I decided I'd goof around with him since we had nothing else to do! Our power was out for a couple of hours and the cable was out pretty much the whole day. So I snuggled up to the couch and watched some movies. It was a great day off!
